A compact, efficient deep UV optically pumped VECSEL

Abstract

We describe a compact and efficient UV laser that is under development. Over 190 mW power at 234 nm wavelength is obtained by harmonic conversion of the intra-cavity doubled output of an optically pumped 936 nm wavelength InGaAs VECSEL.
