A five-dimensional Dirac-theory and its relation to nonlocal theories in four dimensions

Abstract

A generalization of the Dirac-theory to one time- and four space-like coordinates is discussed. The consequences of discretizing the fifth dimension are studied and a relationship with nonlocal four dimensional field-theory is found.
