Abstract

Health promotion for the elderly is beginning to receive proper attention, yet it is probable that the rural elderly are still not being reached. Described is a rural clinic and community health promotion project carried out in 7 communities in rural Oklahoma. The participation of older adults suggests that this project provides an appropriate model to help bring health promotion to the rural elderly.
