Abstract

Research on Artificial Intelligence (AI), have been conducted in China for more than last four decades. Wen-Tsun Wu invented Wu's method in the 1970s, initiating the use of algebraic geometrical methods to obtain analytical solutions to the complex mathematical problems. Wu's work re-invigorated the field of Automated Geometrical Theorem Proving. The research in the field of Computer Aided Manufacturing and Designing (CAM / CAD) is going to be benefited by mathematical mechanization based on Wu's methods. Research on Computer Science in China is facing challenges such as development of computers that can pass the Feigengaum test, reduce the complexity of knowledge-engineering efforts, and comprehend Web contents and automatically construct related knowledge bases. In the next 50 years computer facilitated art and animation will find its application in the field of analysis of natural language script, understanding story's plots,and planning and executing animation production.
