Abstract

The airborne sunphotometer, space-borne, airborne and ground-based measurements of tropospheric aerosol were presented as a part of the North Atlantic Regional aerosol characterization experiment (ACE-2). The aerosol optical depth (AOD), extinction and size distributions of aerosol layers were determined with several different techniques. The aerosol size-distribution closure based on in-situ size distributions and inverted Ames Airborne Tracking-14 (AATS-14) extinction spectra was achieved in the marine boundary layer (MBL).
