Abstract

Amplification without structural rearrangements of the c‐myc proto‐onco‐gene was found in 14 of 44 primary cervical neoplasms. There was no apparent correlation with stage of disease or degree of cellular differentiation. The prognostic significance of c‐myc amplification cannot be determined from this study.
