Application of femtosecond-excitation correlation to the study of emission dynamics in hexagonal GaN

Abstract

We perform time- and spectrally resolved femtosecond-excitation correlation (FEC) on hexagonal GaN at 10 K. A general procedure to interpret the FEC signal at the exciton energies is presented. By fitting to a rate equation model, we find the bimolecular formation coefficient of the GaN (Formula presented) exciton to be (Formula presented).
