Demonstration of finite-aperture tapered unstable resonator lasers

Abstract

A finite-aperture tapered unstable resonator laser was investigated. The finite-aperture tapered unstable resonator laser was compared to the conventional infinite-aperture tapered laser. Results showed that the differential quantum efficiency was increased by 40%.
