N2 - The LISA Technology Package (LTP) is an experiment that will fly on board the space based gravitational wave demonstrator mission, LISA Pathfinder. The LTP optical bench interferometer will be used to monitor the changes in separation between two test masses with a sensitivity of 10pm/√Hz in the measurement band of 3mHz to 30mHz. The precision alignment processes required to manufacture this ultra-stable, space-worthy optical bench are described and the design and construction status presented.
