Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and DHEA sulfate (DHEAS) have attracted much attention for their activities in immunomodulation, antitumourigenesis and modification of age-associated changes. In this paper we review several recent studies on the antitumour initiation and immunomodulatory effects of DHEA.
