Abstract

Interface Fluctuation Quantum Dot (IFQD) dipole moment was calculated using a simple model of a two-dimensional exciton in a finite circular box in the in-plane direction. The eigenstates were characterized by the angular momentum quantum number m and a radial quantum number n. Following this, the radiative broadening of all states in the IFQD was calculated. Analysis revealed an intricate relationship between lifetime and dipole moment in IFQDs clarifying partially contradictory results in the recent literature.
