Direct observation and selection of acoustic phonon quantum beats in colloidal cdse quantum dots

Abstract

We use polarization dependent ultrafast third order transient grating measurements to directly observe quantized 10 to 30 wavenumber acoustic phonon modes in CdSe colloidal quantum dots. Simulations of the data will also be presented.
