Abstract

This paper introduces a novel architecture for next generation Passive Optical Network (PON) based on the employment of OFDMA, with the first experimental demonstration of 10Gbps optical OFDMA transmission using Directly Modulated Laser (DML) in 2.5GHz channel bandwidth.
