Abstract

A hybrid solid immersion lens system (SIL) is described, in which a spherical glass cap lens, a micro gallium phosphide (micro-GaP) SIL and a diffractive optical element (DOE) are combined. Fabrication and aberration correction mechanisms are discussed.
