Generalized coupled-mode model for the multistripe index-guided laser arrays

Abstract

A generalized coupled mode model for weakly and strongly index guided laser arrays has been derived. Exact numerical solution from a partial differential equation model to construct the coupled mode basis functions is used for the present model. Large carrier diffusion case is used to test the model. Good qualitative agreement is found.
