Hadronic screening lengtiis and quark number susceptibility from lattice QCD

Abstract

Techniques for dealing with dynamical fermions have advanced to the stage where one can do finite temperature simulations on reasonably sized lattices. To learn more about the nature of the quark-gluon plasma, we have measured hadronic screening lengths and the response of the quark number density to an infinitesimal chemical potential. We find a signal consistent with a plasma of light quarks.
