Hybrid LDPC-coded modulation schemes for optical communication systems

Abstract

We propose hybrid LDPC-coded modulation schemes whose error correction performances and decoding complexities can be adjusted by changing the field orders of its component codes. Such flexible schemes are crucial assets in link budget analysis.
