Influence of correlations on intensity dependent excitonic absorption changes

Abstract

The effects of varying pump intensity on the coherent pump-induced excitonic absorption changes are analyzed. The calculated polarization dependent differential absorption spectra for resonant excitation in Stark effect configuration is studied for pumping 4.5 meV below the exciton. χ(5) Exciton broadening for σ+σ+, and a blue-shift for σ+σ- polarized pump and probe values is observed. Varying the pump intensity corresponds to adding χ(3) and χ(5) with an intensity-dependent weight.
