Intracavity generation of continuous wave terahertz radiation in the milliwatt regime

Abstract

We present a terahertz source based on intracavity difference frequency generation within a dual color vertical external cavity surface emitting laser. The generation of continuous wave terahertz radiation in the milliwatt regime is demonstrated.
