Abstract
This paper reviews digital imaging methods used in Diagnostic Radiology, discusses the benefits of digital vs. traditional methods of displaying X-ray images to the radiologist, considers various approaches to presenting digital images in Diagnostic Radiology, details the requirements for the display of these images, and assesses the relative merits of AMLCD and CRT technologies for this application.
