Low-order harmonic generation in mid-infrared laser filaments in gases

Abstract

We detect up to 11th-order harmonics generated through filamentation of ultrashort laser pulses at 3.9μm wavelength in air and argon. Harmonic's spectra map the nonlinear evolution of the mid-infrared driver and exhibit CEP-dependent spectral interference.
