Abstract

Performance and feasibility of digital optical computing systems are evaluated using modeling and simulation methodology proposed here. Application to optical content addressable parallel processor (OCAPP) is presented as an example. A diffraction limited OCAPP model is examined to determine upper bound values of performance and design parameters.
