Multi-resolution foveated laparoscope

Abstract

A multi-resolution foveated laparoscope is proposed, which could simultaneously provide a wide-angle "stadium view" and a high-resolution sub-field. The FOV-resolution tradeoff in traditional optical systems was addressed by this "foveal" imaging system.
