Abstract

NICMOS, the Near Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer was placed in the Hubble Space Telescope in February of 1997. Since then it has been carrying out and extensive program of scientific research. This paper presents the current status and performance of the instrument along with a sample of the observations that have been carried out to this date.
