Abstract

We consider the problem of noise generat.ion by the int.eraction between upstream disturbances, of reduced frequency k, and a blade row. Here, we model just the effects of the blade mean loading by treating the hla,des as flat plates aligned at a nonzero angle of attack, 6, to the oncoming stream, and use asymptot,ic analysis in the realistic limit k >> 1, 6
