Nonequilibrium optics and phonon-limited transport of locally prepared electronic excitations

Abstract

The optical generation of the wave packet, Coulomb effects, and electro-phonon interaction in the framework of the nonlocalsemiconductor Bloch equation has been presented. The additional spatial degree of freedom leads to a mathematical and numerical complex set of equation because of the Coulomb interaction in the spatially homogeneous systems is a nontrivial problem. The electron-phonon interaction is treated within a bath approximation in the Markov time limit. The resulting Boltzmann-like equation for the electron-phonon scattering includes a nontrivial space dependence.
