Numerical treatment of the half-space problem of radiative transfer

Abstract

The fundamental half-space problem of radiative transfer is reconsidered in the light of several recent articles appearing in this journal. A realistic computational method making use of an off-the-shelf numerical Laplace-transform inversion is presented and demonstrated.
