On the calculation of the magnetoresistance of tunnel junctions with parallel paths of conduction

Abstract

The calculation of the magnetoresistance of tunnel junctions with parallel paths of conduction was discussed. The tunnelling through all the states, that existed at the electrode-barrier interfaces by placing reservoirs directly across the barriers, was calculated. The analysis showed that tunnelling currents exhibited minority-spin polarization.
