Optical waveguide filtering concentrators for the enhancement of polymer photovoltaic output power

Abstract

We analyze the utility of four types of optical fiber filtering concentrators for increasing the output power of P3HT PVs and find a factor of over 2.5 is possible via an increased concentration factor of 10 in a photonic crystal fiber.
