Abstract
A furrow irrigation system design problem has been formulated in a minimum cost design setting. The design problem has been formulated as a function of three integer valued decision variables. A simple exhaustive enumeration based model has been used to solve the design problem. The model is simple (requires only about 40 lines of code), robust, and capable of finding a globally optimal solution to the design problem.
