Optimization of DVD media parameters

Abstract

The dependence of the data signal modulation and the quadrant pupil detection (QPD) amplitude on mark reflectivity, land reflectivity, and mark/land phase difference on reflection is reported. The modelling parameters was performed by utilizing the scalar diffraction calculation facility in OPTISCANTM, which is a new optical system simulation program.
