Abstract

We propose an OSCD-based LDPC-coded mode-multiplexed CO-OFDM system as multi-Tb/s enabling technology, and demonstrate that 16-OSCD with optimized mapping rule outperforms the 16-QAM by 0.9dB over 1000km of few-mode fiber in strong coupling regime.
