Ordinary state-based peridynamic material constants

Abstract

This study presents an approach to express the "ordinary state-based" peridynamic parameters in terms engineering constants for an isotropic material. The PD material parameters are related to the material constants of classical continuum mechanics by considering two different loading cases to achieve isotropic expansion and simple shear. The verification of these material parameters is demonstrated by considering benchmark problems.
