Quadrupole coupling measurements on IF5

Abstract

High resolution spectra of J=0→1, 1→2 and 2→3 rotational transitions in IF5 were obtained using a Flygare-Balle-type microwave spectrometer. Twenty-two transitions with K=0 or K=1 were fit to obtain the molecular parameters A0=B0=2727.4231 (8) MHz, eqccQ=1069.41 (4) and the spin-rotation interaction CC=0.016(1) MHz.
