Quantum electron-hole droplets in GaAs quantum wells

Abstract

We present evidence from transient-absorption spectra for quantum electron-holedroplets in GaAs quantum wells. Quantum droplets have a two-particle correlation func-tion characteristic of a liquid, but, unlike macroscopic droplets, have quantized binding energy.
