Singlemode Er:Yb waveguide laser array at 1.5 μm

An array of waveguide lasers operating at 1533 nm has been fabricated on Er:Yb-doped glass substrate by the silver-sodium ion-exchange technique. The maximum single-frequency output power from a single channel is 0.8 mW, with a relative intensity noise of -82dB/Hz at the relaxation oscillation peak and below approximately -150dB/Hz for frequencies higher than 2 MHz.
