Abstract
Interwell exciton-photon coupling in detuned multiple quantum well Bragg structures results in an ultrafast radiative decay of the coherent exciton polarization. Remarkably different temporal and spectral distributions of backward and forward degenerate four-wave mixing signals are found for detuned Bragg samples.
