Theoretical analysis of higher-order wave-mixing in semiconductors

Higher order signals are theoretically investigated for a two beam self-diffraction geometry using the semiconductor Bloch equations up to the third diffracted order. Time-resolved and time-integrated signals are studied for different excitation conditions. Enhanced decay rates are obtained with increasing diffraction order and with increasing intensity.
