In a previous study, a unified theory of spin density wave (SDW) formation in a large class of 2:1 cationic charge transfer solids (CTS) based on an anisotropic, 2D, lattice Hamiltonian with both Coulomb and e-ph interactions has been proposed. This article describes in the detail the proposed theory. The 1/4 -filled nature of these CTS is explicitly treated.
