Time-resolved gain spectroscopy on type-I and type-II VECSEL chips

Abstract

Time-resolved reflectivity spectra of a type-II VECSEL chip are presented and compared to that of a type-I VECSEL chip. For both structures we discuss gain, cooling and recombination dynamics.
