Abstract

Vortex dynamics in bare- and filled-core vortices in dilute-gas Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) were measured using a combination of destructive and nondestructive imaging techniques. Vortex precision frequencies showed only modest dependence on the radius and content of the vortex core.
