Abstract

A case of Whipple's disease is reported. The thoracic duct was cannulated and found to be patent although flow of chylous lymph was markedly reduced. Macrophages with characteristic PAS-positive granules were found circulating in thoracic duct lymph. A very high lymph: serum protein ratio was noted.
